Settle down people!

After the 5th request today to update this page, here I am! Sheesh!!

I have been busy, finishing up a wonderful client from Sydney. She went all out and bought a disc-deal so she got over 70 images. I has really been a beautiful process, I was given the go ahead to be as creative and different as I wanted so I have had so much fun doing exactly that. I of course love the usual processing, and it works very well for clients, but when you are able to step outside the box and really explore and image and what will really work on it, then it's all the more fun for me!

So, just to share a few more with you...and her...and the Baby Seal Puppy who I'm sure is missing his gorgeous wife while he lives it up in Italy!

Ohhhhh Poppy Jayne!

What a funny little dot Poppy is. At nearly 10 months old, she calls cats 'dogs', she pretends to sneeze which was just hilarious, she searches for things with her wee fingers, she has wild hair (!!), she crawls like a little slug and she was a total crack up when she smiled and laughed!

I had so much fun out 'n the farm today. Poppy's Mum, Tracey is a friend from school and even though I don't know her Dad, Nige, as well as Trace, I heard enough to make me swear at him...

When Poppy was born, on day four Tracey's Mum was visiting at the hospital. So Nige walks in, with a little bundle all wrapped up snug and pretends to trip into the room and he THREW the baby across the room. Tracey's Mum screamed and leapt to her feet and was horrified - as anyone would be!!! - and tried to catch Poppy. It was a bloody DOLL, Poppy was safe and well elsewhere. I narrowed my eyes and said bastarrrrrrd. What a terrible prank to play on your mother in law!!!

And now, more of the delicious Poppy...

The. Red. Chair.

Strikes again!!

Somehow, this Red Chair and the field of grass (?) just works. It is magic! It was very difficult to get any bad shots with such beautiful girls. This was MY debut into the debutant market, and I really must say it was loads of fun! Despite the crappola weather (it was FREEZING), and the specks of rain, we managed to pull it off. I am thankful for the clouds though, it really set the feel of these images.

These girls and their partners are making their Debut into real society this evening. It's such a great night for teenagers, to get all dressed up and do some old-style dancing and have a great alcohol and drug-free night with their friends. I can not imagine my girls doing this, they are too little to even picture it. But I know the day will come, and I will be too teary to take any photos so I will have to hire someone else to do it!

I just wanted to comment on this photo of A. What a star she was! Not only that, I am in love with her braces! I always wanted braces as a kid, and everyone I have ever known to have had them has hated them (I think they're insane :) ). Not A!! She showed them off proudly with the biggest grins, and I just loved that about her. She was so confident and comfortable within herself, was so lovely to be able to photograph that...

Xavier

What a gorgeous, gorgeous little boy. I photographed him last year through a local daycare, and I fell in love with him back then.

Those eyes, those LASHES, those chubby wrists, those cheeks that wobble, that chunky boy is divine! Am finishing off his session this week, he was a bit tired and cranky for a full session...

YELLOW CAR

Charlotte Charlotte Charlotte. My driving life will NEVER be the same again, not since the introduction to the most annoying and funniest game on the planet.

A wonderful friend of mine, Ingrid (from LottieLouLou ) and I got together when in Sydney. She made the most adorable blanket for Jonah at my request, as he is OBSESSED with motorbikes, and I wanted to buy him a little boys set for his 2nd birthday. I couldnt find one suitable for a 2 year old, so I got the fabric and she worked her genius in record time. He will NOT go into his bed without it.

Anyhoo, we met up for a quick mini session with Charlotte (nearly 5) and Ingrid because Charlotte is wearing glasses full time now and needed some confidence boosting, and on our way to meet other friends in Ingrids car, I heard Charlotte from the back say "Yellow Car". About 5 minutes later, she again said "Yellow Car".

Has anyone never noticed that yellow cars are really not that common?? They arent like white, or even blue. This game started because Charlotte loves the colour yellow.

Being the kiddy type person that I am, I wanted to join in. So I spotted a yellow car and said "Yellow Car!!" and she says "Already saw it". I let it slip, until I saw another one and said "Yellow Car!!" and she said "I already saw that one too". I asked why she didn't call yellow car, and she said she didnt feel like it, but she had indeed seen it first.

It was then explained to me, that this is a game only Charlotte can win. If you saw it first, you actually didn't. Charlotte did. If YOU don't feel like calling it, Charlotte will, and if you say that you saw it first, you still actually didn't. Charlotte did.

I cannot help now, but call YELLOW CAR every time I see one. My husband does it too now, and my 3 year old, who doesn't get it, calls "Blue car" when she sees a red car. If we are not even playing it, I still say it in my head, almost like I HAVE to at least acknowledge that there was a yellow car. My 2 year old says 'lello gar' right after me, but I know now that *I* have seen it first.

Oh and Miss Charlotte, you will NEVER guess what I saw!!! I wonder if you saw it before me? You probably did, you are toooooo good at the yellow car game! Big smootichies to you darling girl... :)

Pix

I met up with one of the most wonderful photographers around Sydney today - Cassandra from caspix . We have been online friends for many, many years now (she gave me the Pixie tick of approval for the name Bronte and a huuuuuge NO for the name Giselle, I gave her a big YES for Zali and a big no for a name that starts with T, that I cannot spell, and sounds like 'Tige', as in Tiger without the 'e') and have spent far too many late nights on MSN talking about cameras and lenses.

We finally met on my last Sydney trip, and she is the most gorgeous south american Mumma I have ever seen! Her children are just sutnning, and little Chase was the ultimate model. You can tell he is used to having a camera in his face. At 3.5 he took direction very well.

Apart from extreme camera envy (on my behalf) it was a wonderful moring. Oh, and if my children didn't display some lovely behaviour it would have been perfect!!

Cuuuuuuuuute!

That's all I can say about Brooke and her gorgeous belly.

We all know I adore farm shoots, but have never done a maternity session on one so this was fun. Cute couple, I cannot wait until I meet that bubby in that belly.

Brooke took advantage of the 2 for 1 sessions with her maternity session. Included in the sitting fee is a newborn session. Awwwwwww, can't wait!!

Beau and Callum

These are yet another Sydney session, I swear I spent the whole time working! But it was totally worth it.

Beau was a star, he was very easy to photograph which is unusual for a boy his age! Callum was just delightful, despite the fact he as still recovering from being a very sick bubby the previous week.

I had a great morning, it's such a small world. These are the nephews of an old school mate who I had not seen or spoke to since 1995 I think it was!

Was great to catch up and I could have really stayed all day chatting away! Gorgeous boys, gorgeous family...

Annie and Johno

Annie needed some photos for work, some plain portraits. I suggested John be in some too - I mean when do people ever get professional photographs of just themselves, apart from thier weddings?? Older folks should do it more often, if not for them...for the children! Think of the children!!

They are the parents of a very good friend of mine, Gemzy. I have many a funny story to tell about Annie and John.

Like the time us goils were going to a party and got busted with a carton of Sub Zero's out the front of their place by the police, who confiscated the grog. The first thing John said was "Why the bloody hell didn't you just bring it inside?" I think we were 15.

Or the time we went Camping at Woods Point (Oh Camp Kanangra!!) and even though we were at least 300m away we could still hear Annie cacking herself well into the night.

Or letting us pour our own beers at Gemma's brothers 21st parties, which I might say were *the* best fun. We had two from the keg and were tanked!

Letting us write all over Gemma's walls with messages about Madonna and boys.

John cooking Chilli Spaghetti and me drooling until I could stay for dinner. I still make it once in a while, but it's never as good as Father Cormacks'!

Parties at Bardo Rd, Newport were the BEST.

John giving my husband a job when we were living in Sydney and were so broke from a bad decision to work for friends. Stopping work at around 3pm everyday and heading to Newport Arms for a few beers. I think it kept The Husband sane really!

All in all, great people with massive hearts and I was more than happy to capture a few snaps of them being their happy selves.

And I even have a story about the dog, Bundy (or Bundles). I got given a camera that was pretty fancy in those days. When Bundy was a puppy I set up a really old pram of Annies and put him in it with some flowers and took some snapshots. I still have the photos!! My very first real shoot was with this very dawg. I think I was about 14 or 15...and even had the bug then!
