The Maitland Family

So, yesterday was about a thousand degrees. We all hit the lake, the soccor fields and then the farm for a terrific family of 7 shoot. What a great family!! They were a lot of fun, even though it was so stinking hot that I required not one, but two ice-creams (that I didn't have enough money for, thanks for the Callipo shout Tamara!) to try and cool down. It was seriously INSANE!

Little Puppy Abby strutted her stuff for the camera, it was as if she KNEW I was taking her photo. What a little princess!!

Now, this shoot is a great example of client input. Of course as an artist I have my own ideas, but I am always open to any ideas clients want for their photos and will give anything a go! The Maitlands wanted images that relfected them and their lives as a family, with sport being a huge part of their family life. Motorbikes and soccer is what they grew up doing, and still do to this day, with the whole family being involved. It is so nice to have this sort of documentation on what makes your family unique and it was great for me to shoot something totally out of my 'usual' you know?

Thanks for yesterday guys, even though the heat nearly killed me!!
