Christmas Competition!!

I am pleased to announce the first ever Cupcakes Blog competition!! Only a little one to start with... baby steps baby steps.... I feel all nervous thinking no one will enter and I'll look like a fool so make sure you all enter!! I get loads of hits here everyday, so I know you all read you big lot of stalkers (you know I'm talking about YOU). C'mon!

What you can win - A personally designed Christmas Card! The winner can send me any photo they wish to be incorperated onto their Christmas Card and any text they wish. I will design 3 to choose from. They will then be sent the file so they can print it themselves at any photo-lab to send to family and friends as their Christmas Card!!

How you can win - The image below is of sweet baby Mia at 10 days old! The expressions this baby comes out with are just amazing! So expressive! I want you to write a caption in the comments section of this post to go along with this image!

The best caption, judged by my 9 year old daughter, Finnlay, and I will win! She is very articulate and very snobby, so make it good or she'll scrap it. Trust me, she is RUTHLESS!

Sweet Baby Mia...

Baby Mia didn't sleep for me last week so I had to go back for these. She is too divine not to! Of course I had to be really quick - this little chicken is very alert and knows when something is going on. Look how pretty she is with her eyes open!! And look how beautiful and peaceful and lovely she is when asleep.... *sigh*. Newborns are simply the best thing on Earth...

Happy Afternoon

This crazy family was loads of fun yesterday, t'was an afternoon filled with giggles.


Big sister Stevie is about to head off into the world of Uni and life, and just being around this family I know it will be a massive change for everyone - especially her little sister who is only 6. And of course her best friend who I must say, was very photogenic despite not feeling it!

Stevie put lots of thought into the session and so I'll give her credit for the couch shots!

The Deb

These goils (and boys?) have been H-A-N-G-I-N-G to see some photos on the blog of their Deb last Saturday. Sorry for the delay everyone, I am sick as a dawg still. I couldn't make you wait any longer so enjoy! And Congratulations for making your Debut into society...

I never made my debut into society, was too busy being all knocked up. Actually I lie, that wasn't until after school finished. These chickens are in year 11. And they were all so skinny and pretty and gorgeous and youthful!! I've never actually been to a Deb Ball, it was pretty kewl to see the dancing and the presenting of the girls etc. There were loads of people too, hopefully they made a stack of cash for Angel Flight.

Baby Mia

Sweet little princess, she was teeny tiny and seriously, the most awake and alert 10 day old I have ever had the pleasure to photograph! Beautiful home, beautiful family... a little dolly already so loved by all.

Mia's Mum received this session as a baby gift from a fiend of hers. What a fantastic gift to give new parents, we always forget how small they really are.

Plus, I get to cluck away and stare at babies all day - win-win!!

Lane - 6 months

I photographed we Lane back in May, as a newbie. (Here). He is now 6 months and a total TUBBER! I could not resist squeezing him, his baby rolls were so soft and pudgy. He's feeding in the top paddock for absolute certanty! Just look at those delicious cheeks! These are special family photos, his Dad was in a serious accident a few months ago and is now home recovering. Lucky, in that they get to spend lots of time together.

Lane is one of the happiest babies I have met, he was in love with me from the moment I walked in, what a total cutie pie!

What an honour, to be chosen to photograph one of the most important days in someones life!

After being a tad nervous about the weather (torrential rain all morning) the sky cleared and the ceremony was perfect. Photo time was even better and the reception was a hoot! I had a great time really, didn't want to leave!

Carly and Darren, I wish you both nothing but the most wonderful life filled with oodles of love and joy like no other. You are both wonderful people, and I want to thank you both so much for allowing me to be part of your wonderful day. I cannot wait to shoot your newborns!!

A wonderful friend and fellow photographer has announced that she is the National Winner of the Centro Smile Competition!!! I posted a few post ago about being selected for the local winner in Dubbo.

Cas, from caspix photography is the winner of the $10,000 National prize!!! I am so very happy for her, and in all honesty it could not have happened to a more deserving photographer. She is brilliant, and has been an inspiration to me for ages, and an 'online' friend to me for years. We met last May :).

Congratulations Cas!!!

Animals

I always seem to be drawn to peoples pets when I go to sessions. So thought I;d share a few of my favourite pet photos!! I adore this little one who I swear is saying "Hanns off Magigi" to little Joe. He was a pretty unfriendly dog and bolted as soon as he was put down, probably to try and get rid of the human germs...
